As an organization dedicated to creating tangible results, we know that conservation starts on the ground. Ecostudies Institute’s skilled restoration team works every day to support the recovery of resilient, healthy ecosystems through collaborative stewardship and habitat enhancement.  Our work is anchored by sensitive and imperiled species in prairie oak, shrub steppe, and coastal habitats in the Pacific Northwest region.

Rapid human development has led to changing environments, biodiversity loss, and noxious weed colonization in the habitats in which we work.  Our restoration actions are centered on the reduction of non-native, invasive plant species, the establishment and expansion of native plant communities, and the enhancement of habitats that support federally threatened and endangered species.
